It's happy for two reasons, at least.
One, Barbie flew safely into Spokane from Haiti last night! Yea for being in the United States! It's cool that she went to help and all, but now my mom will be able to sleep at night.
Two, it's my sister Julie's 27th birthday today! She's not really excited, but I think it's always a fun day because. . . well maybe it's more fun when you have friends that you can see on that day.
Yesterday in biology we made a new strand of e. coli! Plus it was resistant to two different kind of antibiotics! It was really cool!
Oh yeah, I finally learned the cute boy's name. He's in my American Popular Culture class. His name is Jeremiah and he's Canadian. He just came here right before this quarter.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Yea for sleeping in and puting off homework.
Oh and anyone who feels inclined can keep Annie in your thoughts as she'll be spending the weekend with junior highers. Need I say more?

Huzzah! A new strand of E. Coli that's resistant to antibiotics!
/drops the test tube
Whoopsie daisy, there's an epidemic.
;)
~Biology major stares blankly at chemistry major for awhile, then shakes head.~ And Steve, don't worry, the E. coli used in vector-type experiments like the one Sally did are non-virile and don't harm humans beyond a bad case of diarrhea. ;)
Steve- That's why I didn't touch the dishes that they were in although they were plastic not glass. (I did brake a glass slide in the beginning of the quarter.)
Jenn & Bonnie- I fail to understand why anyone would willingly get into science. I'm in bio for dumbees. (100)
Bonnie- I think it could do more damage than just diarrhea, but I'm not sure. We had to wash every table and ourselves before and after, so. . .
Ok...I still wouldn't want a bad case of diarrhea.
And hey Bonnie, there is nothing wrong with chemistry. It was going to be my minor if I went to State.
I vote that Steve try it. Or maybe Daniel.(You don't know either of those people Jenn. But Steve is JanitorBeav.)
Heh. Trust me guys. No one outside the medical field is allowed to deal with virulent E-coli. Ask Mrs. Teske if you have doubts, Sally. And just because it's originally bred to be non-threatening doesn't mean it can't pick up the plasmid that leads it to become more of a serious problem. That's why you have to wash the tables off, chica.
And I would want to go back to high school because? Even to see Teske it ain't worth it.
Why can't I have any cool classes that deal with viruses (threatening or otherwise?)
