Family Time

Yesterday afternoon at about 1:00PM Barbie got home. It was sooo great to see her! There's something about seeing her in person after her having been in Haiti for three and a half weeks. Anyway, we all had lunch together while she told us about the babies she'd grown to love. Then we went for a walk up the canal road onto the Indian Reservation. Julie made dinner and Laura & Cahnen came over to join us. (And Barbie's best friend.) After dinner we begged my dad to get out slides from when we were little, which he did. After being hassled by four daughters, who could say no? So for the next few hours we just sat and laughed at the funny pictures. It was great! We haven't done that in forever! (At least not with all eight of us there.) We also did a puzzle. (One of those billion piece ones, ya know? At least to me it seemed that way. Need I say we didn't finish it?)

This morning I went to church with Valerie and we sat with Laura and Cahnen with Uncle Stew sitting in front of us. It is sooo funny to listen to him comment on what's being said or done up front! He's really funny once he gets into it! (That sounds pretty redundant, but I'm not in the mood to change it.)

Oh, and we have a Haiti Team at church that's leaving Thursday. They go to Terre Blanche and run a medical "hospital" of sorts and a VBS. I sooo want to go someday! The only problem is they only go in November and February so it's always during school.

Now onto homework. Sad Days. But I have a test tomorrow and one on Wednesday. Plus the weekly seminar. Talk to ya all later.

Yeah, I've been studying for that test today too, only this time, since I didn't do too well on the last one, I thought I'd look up ever word that I wasn't sure of the meaning on, and it is taking me forever (this doesn't say much for my vocabulary, I know, but I feel better at least knowing that half of what I'm looking up are names of specific parasites, which no normal person would ever need to know.)

There's a difference between being a little bit....shall we say different?.....than being just creepy. Anyone that actually knows all the words in that book must be in the advanced stages of creepiness. I'm pretty sure that if I were creepy, you would refuse to hang around me, or at least avoid talking to me and hang around Roger until I got fed up with him and left. ;)
